This is a sumary of our holidays, since I have to work seven days a week during the holidays we always have a very low key celebrations, maybe when Sarah gets older will do more activyties during the holidays. By mistake I put the photos from the earliest to the last.

Since yesterday Sarah is on her toddler bed and she just love it, did not wake up once during the night, happy girl and a very happy mom.

Of all the kids shows that we have been so far this group is the best at least for me. They look normal ( no make up or fancy costumes) just a band of regular guys singing. Teaching kids in a very simple way no funny voices either.

ANOTHER FAIL ATTEMPT WITH SANTA

I try to take a photo of Sarah and Santa Claus this year, but like last year this was not posible. As soon as she saw him it was a no go. I try everything but nothing work. Maybe will have better luck next year. The playing area next to santa we the hope she will like santa.

TURKEY RACE & THANKSGIVING

Every year the school do race the wensday before thanksgiving and the winners of the race win a turkey, they put the kids to race with their classmates and when It was Sarah's turn she decided to look at the buildings, a girl that cannot stay still for a second just stood there, I guess it was not her day not for wining I just want her to had some fun that day with her friends, but insted she was really moody that day. Waiting to race? Yeah right.

ART GALLERY EXPOSITION

On monday there was an art exposition of the school kids at an art gallery it was very profesional and very organize, the idea was to make funds for the thankgiving party, they sold the kids paitings for two dollars and one of the dads is an artist and make these beautiful portraits of the kids for $25.00 so the party is going to be very good because the gallery was full of parents buying these beautiful pieces of art.

Brushing Sarah's teeth has not been easy, she does not liked at all, I have try everything to make the brushing teeth a good experience and nothing thing to work and just a few days ago out of the blue she ask me for her toothbrush, so here she is with her new found love for brushing her teeth. On saturdays Sarah comes to work with me and when she gets fussy and I not to busy I take her to a park so she can run and play for a while and since we are in old san juan the parks has so much history that it feels like we are on vacation, last saturday we went to the Bastion de las Palmas these little park is near to La Fortaleza where the governor lives.

Our Halloween start with the Backyardigans show and of course Sarah was paying attention to the lights, her friends from school and the people around, the place was full of screaming kids I got out deaf from the show.

After the show it was the halloween party at her school(no parents allowed no photos) then I took her to the kid's museum for a party over there and Sarah was not very happy there so we left earlier, them back home for some traditional trick or treat that she liked better I think it was the getting candy thing. The pictures are not the best since Sarah keep moving a very time I was going to take her picture and the light was not the best.

Last sunday was Camila's(my nice) second birhtday party the weather was not the best and she had a cold so the poor thing did not eat or had a good time during her birthday. Sarah of course at first was fussy but after a few cries she was ready to play and she had a good time.

Sarah is a girlie girl 100%, she loves shoes, bags, jewelry , bows and her crown of course. So far I think she had over 7 crowns already, she dosent care about colors or if its upside down she has to have one on. This morning she did not want to leave the house without one and she can take toys at the day care Thank God she fell asleep in the car in ther wise it would have been a good fight for her crown, well that 's the job of the princeses to defend their corwns.

On august 21, Sarah turn two, times flies!!!
She got two birthday parties one at her day care and the other one at mc donalds with family and friends. She was not in the best of moods at her school party(maybe she was tired) but she was there with her friends. The kids did not what to do, I guess they are to young to understood parties yet. Later that night we went to dinnerat macaroni grill and on sunday two her second party at mc donal's the best part of making parties there no pick up messes and everybody goes home early.

This was fashion week at Sarah day care, om monday was hat day and I choose a country dog theme and today was recycle fashion day today she was fussy so that's why her photos are like that, but I made her this funky flowers with toilet paper and a necklece with the roll of the papper, Im very proud of her look and I hope that when she gets older she love all her stuff that and making for her and having such a great time doing it anyway.

Sarah turn 22months old on saturday, at work (she comes to work with me ) was slow so I took her to the park to feed the pigeons and she realy enjoy it , this girl love animals and on sunday we went to see the hi5 show, the irony was that she keep lokking at the monitor in step of wacthing the live show and looking at the ceiling. I think she's not ready for this yet, so I will wait till she's older to try again.

Yesterday we went to see a spanish show for kids name Atencion, Atencion(Listen, Listen) pre schoolers love it , at first Sarah was a little scared of the frog and the lizard she loves the DVD but see them that close it was different, but as soon as she heard the song of the frog she started to relax and by the end of the show she was dancing and enjoying the show then the teachers(it was a school trip) took the kids outside for a lunch and a play time outside, it was a beautiful day and I think Sarah enjoy the outside much better.

During summertime Sarah's day care is doing fun things for the kids and yesterday it was the longest tie, but Sarah's mom(me) did not read her agenda and when we got to the day care and she saw all the kids with her ties, she had to call for back up and send my helper Kendry to Marshalls for the tie which is near her day care and then to walgreens for the embellishment and then to the day care so Sarah will have her tie and what a pretty tie Kendry made her and so thankful to have people that can help me with this stuff. I learn my lesson and Im checking her agenda everyday si I wont miss more of her homework.

FIELD DAY 2008

Today was Sarah's first field day and it was exhausting(for me)at first she was a little shy and did not want to play, but with time and with the help of the teachers she got around and start to play and enjoying the day.

Sarah is not a morning person, my bed is a king size but she prefers the corner.
The good thing about been in the historic part of San juan is that the backgrounds are beautiful and all the activities had a tourist exploring feeling.
This was the field day area in front of the El morro fort.

FCI DINNER

Last thursday was the FCI dinner (international dog federation), we had a great time meet new dog lovers and share time with old friends, this dinner was follow by three days of show dogs(under the rain)the weather was not very good, but Cara and Jesse got their first CH.(PRCH) so it was not all bad and Sarah got adicted to ice.

Easter was our first holiday together and what a good one it was, we spend it in Vietnam and I was a very nice expirence to see how they celebrated easter. We went to church and it was very cold and was the first time Sarah pee on me. Easter 2008

Last year I was spending my first day in Hanoi, the weather was very cold and the there motorcycles every where, that first day was very shcking, plus I was waiting a call from Ana the cordinator to tell me when were going to get Sarah. So the first day I took a map and went to explore the city, my first stop was the Hanoi prison the place where they took the american prisoners( a very depressing place) , then I went to the lake that is like meeting point for the vietnamese people, they go there to eat ice cream and do exercise.
My pretty view, I wake up to this my first day.
I was so anxious that when I got to the hotel I could not sleep and I start to take pictures of the room.
The first hanoi adventure was to cross the street, they don't know the meaning of stop.

I work in old san juan and like his name theres lots of old colonial houses and lots of them going on remodeling , lasst week I was on my way to leave Sarah on her day care which is close to work, but while I was passing in my car in front of this house a piece of the balcony felt and went straight to my car car window and not just any window , the window next to Sarah, when I look back my girl was cover with cristals, this was the scariest moment that I have live since I got Sarah, Thank God it was just that scare because the piece that was made of iron(the old kind) went straight to the floor and Sarah just got a few scratches in her right arm. My girl has a great angel in heaven hows always watching over her. Thank you mom for keeping an eye on her on your granddaugther. I hopethis never happen again and the contruction people will take care more safety ways to keep people safe.

Sarah is 18 months now, time really has fly, her favorite work is No everything you tell her is no, but aparently it not apply to her, I tell her Sarah no, but she keep doing whatever she's doing, wich includes apoening all the drawers and taking all the stuff she can, looking at the trash cans and throwing her toys and bottles there and climbing everywhere she can. On saturdays she comes to work with me wich make saturday a long day, but at least she spends about 10 minutes wacthing DVDs.

FIRST FCI SHOW

Sarah and Cara having fun last sunday during a FCI(international dog show) it's not havin been easy coming back to the show ring since Sarah came but we had a great time and Cara got to excellents towards her CH. and Sarah had a blast , she just loves her dogs and was very proud of her puppy during her time in the ring she clap all the time. I hope in the future she love the show dogs as much as I do, this is a very friendly sport and we have lots of firends there and everybody is there to help with Sarah everytime and with the dogs.

I had to attended a conference in tampa for the 10 hours that Haugue needs, so since Sarah was coming along I had to take her to disney. The are so many great pictures of these trip that is going to take me a whlie to put them all. This is just the first day photos. Tampa conference was till 5:oopm and then we went to disney downtown for dinner.The lego dogs an important stop for us, Sarah loves her puppies.

Sarah had her first cut last saturday, kids today have some many things to enjoy , I took to a kid salon and they have TV with kids movies, videos, games and lots of things to make their time at the salon very enjoyable . With all that Sarah started to cry almost at the end, but it was fun. They gave me a bag with her first lock of hair that was cut and a certificate with the date and her stylist for her scrapbook, that someday I will make. A girl waiting for her cut.

Yesterday was the moon festival celebration, where we live there were no activities for that celebration, so I order some moon cakes and went for chinese food.
The moon cake, this one was a coconut cake. The moon cake is kind of heavy and the flavors are kind so so, but Sarah enjoy it.

It's been long since my last post , but last week was very thought for us. We still had a very bad cold. Sarah still has a runny nose and feel like I have been beating. Sarah is dong really well at the day care, all her teaches loves her and she does not cry when i leave her there.

Also we had our first post placement and it went really well. My SW ask me simple questions like : wheres the day care, she saw her room and I gave her the photos and that was it.

Today was Sarah first day at day care, It broke my heart to leave her there crying , but I know once she gets use to it she will enjoy it and she will learn new things.

Yesterday there was a big traffic jam on our way home, so we took a detour to the mall, after a little shopping we went to Macaroni Grill and when the dessert came the waiter sang Happy Birthday to Sarah, she got scared and cry a little but when she saw the plate she went after the biscotti then hands the the plate she eat almost all the dessert , she maybe small but she has a big appetite .It's all mine, all mine.
It taste better with your hands.

ASIAN TRADITION

There's an asian tradition, that on the baby first birth day the put some objects representing professions and put the baby to choose and the one they pick it's suppose to be the professions they will have when they grow up. Sarah pick up the pen, so will see in a few years what she likes, I just hope that is something she loves.

Last friday Camila came for a visit, the girls had a lot of fun, they played and scream and laugh.Uncle Juan Carlos brought Sarah a new outfit . The visit was short but nice.Sarah and Camila

WEEK UPDATE

Last week Sarah had her first blood work done, it was a kicking and screaming experience , she was calling mama and there was nothing I could just wait till it was over, then the doctors appoinment to check the results and more blood work into weeks. But as a reward I took her to the mall(for shoes)and she had her first carousel ride, that she enjoy it very much, my girl is not afraid to try new things.

Sarah is turning one year next month, so yesterday I took her for some portraits to mark the event, I got a little over board with the photos , but she was so pretty in all her poses that I could not make my mind and took them all, but not everyday my girl turns one.Flower girl

Sarah and I met a group of PAP. It was great to meet so many people with the same dreams and hopes that I have. Also Sarah got the chance to make friends , she was thrill with girls, always around grown ups , I hope we keep in touch and in a few years there wiil be more girls from Vietnam and China to share with.

Sarah turn 11 month today, she has a little cold that she decided to past to me . Yesterday I took her to the doctor and she weights 15 1/2 pounds she' s small but well balance girl. Hoping you get well soon. Sarah eleven month old

FIRST DOG SHOW

Yesterday was a big day for Sarah, she went to her dog show and she had a blast, she was the best in show , now I know that I can show my dogs and I will have someone to watch her for me.She went from hand to hand.

CAMILA CAME TO VISIT

Camila came for a short visit today and she gave Sarah a monkey, Sarah gave him a hug and a little bite.
Quality time for Sarah and Camila, making some music together.
Watch Sarah foot touching Camila, I wish they could get together more often.
Camila took over the key board, but just for a little while.
